Work-Life Balance
Sunday 22nd, April 2018

The everyday routines of life tend to take a toll on ourselves both mentally and physically, and sometimes, the most productive thing a person can do it to take a break.

Taking a break from our routine can act as a re energiser for our body and soul. I recently did a 10 day family trip which I strongly believe that I needed and surprisingly, I returned to work more energised, motivated and ready to get my head back in the game.
Whenever I take a break and then return to work, I usually list out my priorities and hone in on what is the most important ‘projects/tasks' that I have to complete. This give me a bit of clarity on my schedule, making it easier to manoeuvre my day to day life.
Revising my to-do list helps me compartmentalise all the areas in my life while I also analyse what I can do to be more productive. My theory is the you are only given one shot to make your life ‘seemingly incredible’ therefore, try not to waste a moment, every moment count in the quest of attaining your goal.
One of my recent observations was the amount of time I spend on my phone, whether its social media or simply checking the latest news updates, its becoming quiet an issue for me, so I have decided that I have to try new tactics to keep my iPhone away from my fingertips. For example, when you are having either breakfast, lunch or dinner,  keep your cellphone away from your side, or during your gym sessions; keep your phone in the locker. These little tips would help you maintain stability and disconnect with the world of emails and social media and really help you focus on yourself which contributes to a balance in your life.

Lastly, not everyone is fortunate to have a job that you would’ve initially intended to have, the trick is to learn and absorb as much as you can because knowledge is limitless and knowledge is power. For those who are working in a field that you do love, keep expanding your knowledge and theres nothing more thrilling and self fulfilling than pouring your mind into your job and seeing the results.

Please remember to keep God in every aspect of your daily life!
